The number of backward caste members eligible for reservation benefits may see a quantum jump, with the Centre considering a drastic relaxation of the definition of “creamy layer” to enable those with an annual income of Rs 12 lakh in metros qualify for quota benefits.
MY COMMENTS
IT IS TIME ,NOW THE CENTRAL GOVT SHOULD ALSO THINK ABOUT THE GENERAL CATEGORY PEOPLE WHO ARE POOR AND ARE NOT BEING GIVEN ANY RESERVATION.WHY ONLY ONE SECTION OF THE POPULATION IS BEING GIVEN THE BENEFIT OF RESERVATIONS.UNDER THE CONSTITUTION ALL ARE EQUAL ,IRRESPECTIVE OF BEING FROM ANY CASTE,RELIGION OR SECT.WE REQUIRE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY BEFORE THE LAW.DO NOT TAKE AWAY THE HAQ OF THE GENERAL CATEGORY PEOPLE.
